With the help of a grant from the Jewish Women’s Fund of Atlanta, Jewish Interest Free Loan of Atlanta has established a loan program specifically for Jewish women in crisis.
The Women’s Crisis Fund serves as a safety net to ensure that women facing financial obstacles maintain their ability to be self-supporting and self-sufficient. The Women’s Crisis Fund helps stop the downward spiral facing women in financial crisis to keep them afloat and avoid a heavy debt burden.
In many cases, women who are newly divorced, have had family reversals, health issues, or are single mothers may find themselves in a temporary, financially challenging situation. Further, they may need assistance in developing budgeting skills to manage their financial resources so they can avoid future crises.
During such times of turmoil, it is important for women to know that they are not alone.
JIFLA Can Help.
In addition to providing interest-free loans to members of Atlanta’s Jewish community who face unexpected financial hardships, JIFLA also provides budget counseling support to its borrowers and offers periodic public Budgeting 101 workshops.
